Li Mu’s father Li Taibin did not support his son’s art project at the very beginning. As the library gained popularity and the project attracted foreigners, Li Mu won the respect of the villagers. Li Taibin also changed his view and helped in the making of several installations. When interviewed by Ellen, he said, “I’m proud of my son.” He enjoyed the process of setting up the steel plates, and was satisfied with the finished work.
