On May 18, 2013, Ellen Zweig, an artist and poem from New York, organized a picnic for the children in the poplar wood in Qiuzhuang. The children were very excited because they had never had a picnic before. They enjoyed the sandwiches and salad made by Ellen. The next day, a girl came to Li Mu, dressed in her best skirt, wishing to join another picnic. Being told it was a one-day activity, she went home reluctantly.
